Sigridur Armann

6 decades of classical ballet education.

The Sigridur Armann School of Ballet has provided top quality dance education since 1952. The school had retained a silhouette of a ballerina as a logo for over 40 years and lacked a consistent brand identity.

Rather than completely reinvent the wheel, a stylised symbol was designed based on the silhouette retaining the original ballerina's posture, along with a complimentary logotype. The new one is composed of brush strokes to emphasise movement, finesse, and flexibility. A series of pictograms was designed in the same style to represent the different courses. By implementing a consistent colour scheme and typography across all mediums, the school's brand identity is finally in tandem with its actual identity.
